This monograph presents a Novel Wavelet Based Finite Element(WFE) approach for solving transient problems arising in structural dynamics.This approach alleviates certain difficulties of conventional finite element methodology (FEM) for solving time dependent problems and proves to be a potential alternative to FEM in analyzing time dependent problems. This approach features the ability of utilizing the capabilities of conventional FEM and Wavelets in providing a reliable solution. This methodology is examined for stability and has been demonstrated for certain inertial and wave propagation applications.

He has Worked at GE-ITC(John F WelchTechnology Center),Bangalore as Engineer-Design in GE-AviationTeam and is a recipient of GE-Green belt award.His researchinterests are wavelets,FEA.
