Wear Characteristics of Dual Phase Steel

The book is devoted on development of dual phase (DP) steels and factors affecting its mechanical properties. Due to high strength to weight ratio of DP steel along with absence of yield point phenomena it gets wide applications in automobile industries. Microstructure of DP steel is combination of hard phase (Martensite) and soft & ductile phase (Ferrite). Such microstructure is characteristics of composite materials and has great potential to resist wear and abrasion if present in proper proportion. The book also covers some basic wear phenomena and performance of DP steels in some wear environment.

O Dr. Manoranjan Kumar Manoj completou o seu doutoramento do IIT Roorkee em Metalurgia e Engenharia de Materiais. Actualmente, trabalha como Professor Assistente no Departamento de Engenharia Metalúrgica, Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Raipur. O seu campo de interesse inclui a correlação estrutura-propriedade, tribologia, soldadura, etc.
