This book provides a comprehensive introduction to the clock synchronization in the Wireless Sensor Networks. It covers a wide range of distributed clock synchronization algorithms which are purely designed on weighted average technique. Each chapter presents an algorithm along with its analysis that is self-contained and easily understandable. The protocols described in each chapter are either satisfying internal or external clock synchronization and also dynamically interchangeable depending upon the availability of external source or reference nodes. The reader not only gets an idea of various ways to synchronize clocks in WSN but also get a clear picture of how to mathematically analyze those algorithms to verify the same.

Amulya Ratna Swain received his M.E. degree in Software Engineering from Jadavpur University, India in 2006. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2013. Currently, he is working as an associate professor in the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India.
