Welding manual applied to the SMAW process

The process of welding by coated electrode, called SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) by AWS (American Welding Society), is a pioneer in the permanent union of metals through the use of electric arc, being also the most used process in the world in all periods and industrial sectors. Its importance within the production process chain is twofold: practicality and quality in the criteria of mechanical resistance, with vast application in industry, in civil construction, and in other areas of engineering. In this book, the application of the welding process most used in the world in ferrous and non-ferrous metals will be approached. A practical guide with a step-by-step guide on how to start the arc by using a coated electrode, up to welding weld beads in the horizontal position in an angle joint.
