Since decades and centuries, it is medically and scientifically known that aspirin has the great potential to decrease risks of stroke and heart attacks in people. Unfortunately, new medical research have found that the same aspirin could develop blindness diseases such as the wet age-related macular degeneration disease. The study reviewed 2,389 people whose average age was in the mid-60s. Scientists have mentioned that a tenth of them were taking aspirin at least once weekly. Therefore, the medical researchers had followed the participants closely where they made sure that the lattter had their eyes tested every five years for 15 years. As a result, the medical scientists have detected that 9.3% of regular aspirin users suffered wet age-related macular degeneration while 3.7% of those who didn't take it regularly also developed the disease. Some major symptoms of the wet age-related macular degeneration are drunsen, pigmentary alterations, hemorrhages in the eye, atrophy, blurred vision, distorted vision, trouble discerning colours and a loss in contrast sensitivity...
