Wheat varieties under restricted irrigation conditions

Wheat is the one of the most important cereal crop in the world. It is cultivated extensively in most parts of the world. Irrigation is the most important factor for good production of wheat. Due to the depleting water resources their is shortage of water in the world. Among the environmental stresses, drought is one of the most important obstacles to the development of agriculture. To counter these problems proper irrigation management practices should be developed for existing wheat varieties and new varieties should be developed which can perform better in restricted irrigation condition.
