WHY ISLAM?

Why Islam? is a book which translates my thoughts over the last several years on how to approach the youth to how to improve our mannars on one hand and enjoy life on the other.How can we convince our youth to be better citizens? How and why we should avoid the deceptive distractions in the environment? When it comes to religions, most people in the west opt to speak little about it,if any. I however believe that this is the missing bond.I consider my challenge is to write on Islam in a way that fits the youth way of thinking.Therefore I chose the word "Why" to guide me in to a logical approach to my thesis.I used classical Islamic sources to collect all materials, such as Iben Katheir, Al- Kortoby and Al-Tabary. The book starts by enumerating different scenarios of life and fate. Then I challenged the reader of what he may chose. The logical approach is to chose a religion that gives the best outcome in the long term rather than being agnostic. Then I divided the chapters to orderly speak of Who is God? What is Islam? Who is the prophet of Islam? Then concluded my arguments that Islam gives us the Right choices to excel in this earthy life.

Dr. Shoker is a professor of medicine. He finished his undergraduate studies in Alexandria, Egypt. He immigrated to Canada in 1981. He was trained in internal medicine between 1981-1986 in Vancouver, B.C. and in kidney diseases in Toronto, Ontarion between 1986-1991. He moved to work in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada.
