William Basil Weston VC (3 January 1924 - 3 March 1945) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.Weston was 21 years old, and a lieutenant in The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment), British Army, attached to 1st Battalion, The West Yorkshire Regiment during the Second World War when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
