Wintering of honeybees under conditions of a long flightless period

The recommendations contain theoretical and practical research material on the preparation and organization of honey bees for the winter period in conditions of a long flight-free period. Biological characteristics of honey bees of different breeds in different methods of wintering are described. The results of the effectiveness of different methods of wintering and peculiarities of the preparation of bee families for flightless period are presented. Recommendations will be of great help to agricultural workers, beekeepers, students and teachers of agricultural specialties.

A. Brandorf formou-se na Academia Agrícola Estatal de Vyatka em 1997 com uma licenciatura em ciência animal, especializada em apicultura. Trabalhou como zootecnista na apicultura. Desde 2006 trabalha no Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of North-East, Rudnitsky, como Chefe do Laboratório de Apicultura e Chefe do Centro de Criação de Abelhas. É também o chefe do centro de criação da raça das abelhas da Rússia Central.
