Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is also known as wire spark erosion machining or wire-cut electric discharge machining is an advanced and distinctive cutting process for machining metallic workparts which are electrically conductive. In this book, the overview of material removal phenomenon and apparatus details of WEDM process is delineated. Various cutting parameters of WEDM namely pulse on time, pulse off time, servo voltage spark or cutting voltage, cutting speed, dielectric pressure, wire tension are primarily involved and controlled during machining of the conductive workpieces.

Hulas Raj Tonday is studying Ph.D. in Dept.of Manufacturing Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. He has completed a B. E. from the department of industrial & production engineering at Guru Ghasidas University Bilaspur in the year 2010. He has also studied M.Tech. from NIFFT Ranchi, India in 2012.
