Wireless device control by means of brain signals
Details
The monograph presents proof that it is possible to control a device by means of direct thought commands. Thinking about right and left-hand movements is followed by the machine, which reads the commands as electrical impulses coming from the brain. Electrical and magnetic phenomena in the brain can be described using Maxwell's equations in the macroscopic version. The processing and classification of these signals was performed by means of developing algorithms which were implemented in the Matlab computing environment. The signals were transmitted via the Bluetooth wireless communication protocol to the external device. The monograph presents the device using the Arduino Uno platform designed to receive and display processed and classified brain signals in the form of control commands acting as BCI (Brain Computer Interface) reflecting right and left-hand movement.
