Women and their role in Mexico's narcoculture

The War on Drugs in Mexico has been an event that will forever mark the contemporary history of the country, there have been very drastic changes in the public and private life of the general population (especially in the female population). Due to the radical changes that occurred as a result of this armed conflict, several cultural expressions have emerged (beliefs, customs, movies, series, music, clothing) that have been massified thanks to the media and information technologies; serious material has also been created that speaks of this topic that is so fashionable. The female population suffers the onslaught of this internal armed conflict being cannon fodder for the State, society and organized crime; even though it is said that women have more advantages in the drug business, it is only a mirage that gives the illusion of empowering and freeing them from the patriarchal yoke.
