In India, women are more vulnerable to the problems of poverty and unemployment. The option available to the women to overcome these problems is to take-up entrepreneurial venture. However, women entrepreneurs have to face formidable challenges in patriarchal society. In these contexts, an attempt has been made to understand the various aspects of the women entrepreneurs involved in the cosmetic industry in Tiruchirapalli Corporation.
