Women's Rights and the Quality of Family Life in Rural Uganda:

This study focused on women s rights situation and quality of family life in rural households of Rukiga County, Kabale district, Uganda. The study sought to understand special contribution made by the women towards family development and welfare, the extent to which women s rights are considered in major decision making at family level and to document the effects of women emancipation and empowerment on the quality of family life in rural households.

Mr. Runyonyozi Johnson holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh and an M.A in Development Studies from Kabale University, Uganda. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences at Kabale University. His research interest is sexual and reproductive health.
