Women's voice in politics, leadership, decision making space

Women leadership has become a vital focus on global development. Their participation in politics has helped advance gender equality and affects both the range of policy issues that gets considered and the type of solutions that are proposed. According to research, a legislator's gender has a significant impact on their policy priorities. There is also substantial evidence that when more women are elected to government, policies that prioritize quality of life and represent the goals of families, women, and ethnic and racial minorities become more prevalent. Women's participation is critical, and it's important to remember that women aren't all the same. Women have highly diverse life experiences depending on whether they are young or old, educated or illiterate, and whether they reside in rural or urban settings. This leads to very distinct priorities and requirements. Women's representation is clearly not the only factor, but it is crucial in the development of inclusive, responsive, and transparent democracies.
