Work Ethics and Attitude of Public Servants in Nigerian Public service

Work ethics and attitude of public servants in Nigerian public service is a book which brings to the vanguard the incontrovertible evidence about ethical standard in public administration. It centers on the attitude of workers in the public service as it relates to service delivery and productivity. The book draws attention to three critical issues: public service is characterised by poor service delivery, work ethics did not practically manifest in the attitude of most public servants, and there is a need for moral oriented performance in the public service in order to realize the desired result of growth and development. The book argues for the need to understand and evaluate workers attitude through an ethical lens. It observes that negative bureaucratic behaviour is a prevalent problem in the public service and definitely has a critical impact on national development, hence, the need to search for ethical tools to promote morality that is culturally and societally based in the public service.
