Details

Coconut trees are cultivated in Brazil for the production of green coconut water and pericarp, generating employment and income for workers throughout the production chain. This crop is often affected by pests and diseases, but there are few studies in the literature on the application of pesticides, especially with regard to application efficiency and the safety of rural operators. There is a need to quantify the exposure caused by specific working conditions in relation to the main occupational risks to which machine operators are exposed in these environments.
