There is also a need of critically evaluating the work done by the member states uptil the Doha round of discussions and thereafter. The realm of trade expands with the expansion of the concept of globalisation, which is an important reason for conflict of interests and arising of disputes.The World Trade Organisation (WTO) is the solitary international organisation dealing with the global rules and mandates of trade between nations. Its main function is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible. The present need is to make an efficient, speedy and impartial Dispute Settlement Mechanism for building up an equitable, effective and predictable multilateral trading system. The work is dedicated to understanding the mechanism and to draw attention on needs of improvements in the global behemoth, i.e, WTO.
