Xacobeo Galicia (UCI Code: XGZ) is a professional continental road bicycle racing team based in Spain and participates in UCI Europe Tour and when selected as a wildcard to UCI ProTour events. The team was formed as Karpin-Galicia for the 2007 season, when four of the nine Spanish professional cycling squads withdrew from the sport. Xacobeo-Galicia is managed by Rodrigo Rodriguez, with assistance from directeur sportifs Álvaro Pino, Jesus Villar and José Angel Vidal. The team received wildcard invitations to the Vuelta a España in 2007 and 2008. Xacobeo Galicia has a Spanish- and Galego-language web site. On August 26, 2008, with the acquisition of a new sponsor, the team changed its name from Karpin-Galicia to Xacobeo-Galicia.
