Desperate for a mark of her own on the house''s exterior, Peggy buys a garden gnome named Winklebottom at an estate sale, and much to Hank''s dismay displays him right out front. Winklebottom soon attracts the eye of Sally, another gnome enthusiast, and she and Peggy become fast friends as they bond over garden gnome lore; meanwhile, Hank gets tired of the constant teasing from Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer over Peggy''s tacky new lawn ornament, and goes so far as to shield the gnome from view of passersby with his body.
