In 2006 Singapore Parliamentary General Election, Shin Leong was Candidate and Leader of The Workers' Party's Ang Mo Kio Group Representative Constituency Team that secured more than one-third of the votes against the incumbent People's Action Party's Team headed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Shin Leong is the Managing Partner of Easto Global LLP. Concurrently he is also a Business Lecturer at a private college. Graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Western Sydney, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA, Merit) degree in Political Science & Sociology from National University of Singapore.
