YLE FST5 (Finlands Svenska Television, literally "Finland''s Swedish Television") is YLE''s Finland-Swedish digital television channel, providing television programmes in the Swedish language in Finland. It is a public-service channel principally intended for Finland''s Swedish-speaking minority, although since most of its programmes are subtitled in Finnish a large proportion of its viewers are in fact Finnish-speakers. Finlands Svenska Television''s output was formerly included in the programming of YLE''s two main television channels, TV1 and TV2. However, since 1 September 2007, all of YLE''s Swedish-language television programmes are now broadcast exclusively on digital channel FST5.
