In all societies, many women suffer from pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). In fact, PMS is the term for a group of emotional, mental, and physical symptoms that affect women during the days leading up to menstrual period. The symptoms are various such as fluid retention, mood changes, depression, weight gain, urinary tract infection, breathlessness, nasal congestion, headaches, susceptibility to conjunctivitis, etc. The exact cause of PMS is unknown, but it is thought to be related to hormonal imbalances. The problems of health related physical fitness and also the psychological consequences that occur during menstruation can be tackled with the help of Yoga and Aerobics. Yoga, an ancient system of healing, exerts a positive influence on health and well-being, by changing the way we think, feel and respond to life situations. Aerobics is a type of exercise that overloads the heart and lungs and causes them to work harder than at rest. Due to its advantages, it will be very helpful in developing Psycho-physiological parameters and Health related physical fitness of College girls with irregular menstruation cycle.

W 2015 roku uzyskäa tytu doktora nauk medycznych, a tematem jej pracy doktorskiej by y nieregularne miesi czki. Dr Joshi jest adiunktem na Wydziale Wychowania Fizycznego w B.P.C.A's College of Physical Education w Bombaju.
