Youth coaching in Lower Austria from the perspective of youth coaches

In order to prevent early school leaving and dropping out of training programmes, youth coaching was implemented throughout Austria in 2013 as a measure of the Social Ministry Service. This study focuses on successful professional action and success in youth coaching in Lower Austria. Qualitative research and evaluation methods are used to gather the subjective views of youth coaches and determine success criteria in order to illustrate the impact of their work. The different interests and expectations of success - which are explicitly or implicitly communicated to the youth coaches - of various stakeholders in Lower Austria are taken into account.
