According to the United Nations, there is about 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 and 24 - the largest youth population ever.Many of them are concentrated in developing countries.In fact, in the world's 48 least developed countries, children or adolescents make up a majority of the population.The UN asserts too that Africa has the youngest population of youth in the world.This calls for a deliberate attention to youth and issues that affect them in order for the world to enjoy sustained growth and posterity.What has been experienced the world over regarding youth issues speak to sidelining, exclusion, tokenism, .manipulation and decoration young people especially in the developing countries? This book looks at the extent at which young people are engaged in deciding for policies that affect their future.Most youth in developing countries once they get opportunity to economic resources, they develop an elitist behaviour and quickly join those in the adult realm in abusing and victimizing those that would have been left below the ladder.Youth quota system has to be legislated so that youth enjoy the fruits of development;future prosperity of nations will be guaranteed.
