Yttria Partially Stabilized Zirconia (Y-PSZ)

The explosively depleting energy sources in the present world of technology is likely to move us towards energy crisis. The loss of energy in the high temperature engineering components like gas turbines and internal combustion engines significantly contributes towards decrease in thermal efficiency of these systems. The author has worked in this book in the area of thermal barrier coating of Yttria stabilized Zirconia and carried out an experimental as well as simulation and modeling based theoretical investigation to observe its effectiveness and longevity aspects in the high temperature environment.

The author A.K.Saini has studied Masters of Technology from National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (INDIA) in the field of Thermal Engineering (Computational Fluid Dynamics & Heat Transfer). He is currently working at Panjab University SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur (INDIA) as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
