A solid goalkeeper, he is the first choice at Karabükspor and second choice keeper at Ankaragücü. A little shorter than usual for a goalkeeper, he stands at 183 centimeters and weighs 73 kilograms. For 2006/07 season he signed with Kayseri Erciyesspor. In 2007 he played also for Eski ehirspor. During the winter transfer window, Zafer returned to Ankaragücü.
