Zagreb Synagogue (Croatian: Zagreba ka sinagoga) was the main place of worship for the Jewish community of Zagreb from its construction in 1867 until its demolition by the fascist authorities in 1941. The synagogue, located in what is today Pra ka Street, was one of the city's most prominent public buildings, as well as one the most esteemed examples of synagogue architecture in the region.To this day, it remains the only purpose-built synagogue in the history of Zagreb. Since the 1980s there were plans to rebuild the synagogue in its original location, but due to various circumstances, very limited progress has been made.
