Zero force coupling for medical robotics

This book will help medical and engineering students to work together in the field of surgical robots. It covers important topics of orthognathic surgery and how robots can be used to achieve better results for dysgnathia patients. It will help these professionals to better understand different aspects of each others work methodology. It also presents a possible solution for man-machine interface applicable in surgical robots.

Vitor Vieira has a degree in Electronic and Computers engineering at the Faculty of Engineering University of Porto (FEUP) - Portugal and his PhD thesis was submitted in 2009 at the Medical University of Heidelberg, Germany. Since then he has been present in the medical industry in Germany and currently runs the company Inova DE GmbH.
