Semiconductor nanomaterials are a backbone of this electronical world. One of them a well- known semiconductor material is Zinc Oxide and existed in n-type nature. The properties of ZnO nanomaterials could be modified by the bombardment of heavy ions (e.g carbon, phosphorus). Among nanomaterials, Nanowires belong to one dimensional nanostructure and can be defined as, the nanostructures have two confined dimensions in nanometer scale and other one is unconstrained direction for electrical conduction. In nanowires the surface to volume ratio of atoms increased. One dimensional nanowires are attracted towards potential application because these are used as building blocks for complex micro and nano devices. Zinc Oxide nanowires (ZnO NWs) have got an efficacious place in nanoworld due to their tremendous properties and applications. In present work, physical properties of the ZnO NWs have been modified by carbon (C) and phosphorus (P) ion implantation. This book reveals that phosphorous ions implantation in ZnO NWs is a successful approach towards the synthesis and tailoring of P-type ZnO Nanowires.

Autorentext

H.Tabassum obtained her MS degree in Physics nanotechnology from International Islamic University, Pakistan. She Joined Peking University in 2013, where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Advance material and Mechanics under the supervision of Prof. Zou Ruqiang. She has published several articles in prestigious journals and her currently research area is fabrication of hetero atom doped carbon nanomaterials for energy storage devices.
